Roadrunner-Agave-Ochoa 115 kV Transmission Line Project

The Xcel Energy Roadrunner-Agave-Ochoa 115 kV transmission line project consists of about two miles of new 115 kV transmission line between the Roadrunner Substation about 25 miles west of Jal, New Mexico and the Ochoa Substation located approximately 20 miles northwest of Jal, New Mexico.

The project enhances electric reliability and create capacity for load growth in the area.

On January 12, 2016, the Southwest Power Pool approved a Notice to Construct the project.

The Roadrunner-Agave-Ochoa 115 kV transmission line project was completed on March 30, 2017, nearly a month ahead of the proposed in-service date.
