Mustang-Shell CO2 115 kV Transmission Line Project

The Mustang-Shell CO2 115 kV transmission line project consists of approximately 9 miles of new transmission line between the existing Mustang Substation, located in Yoakum County, about five miles east of Denver City, Texas (half mile north of County Road 390) to the existing Shell Substation, located just over a quarter mile northeast of the intersection of FM 1939 and State Highway 214 in Yoakum County.

The Mustang-Shell CO2 transmission line will increase reliability and meet growing needs in the area.

Southwest Power Pool approved a Notice to Construct for the project on June 30, 2014.

The project was placed in-service on April 30, 2019.
