PCA Interchange-Quahada Interchange 115 kV Transmission Line Project

The PCA Interchange-Quahada Interchange 115 kV transmission line project consists of nearly 13 miles of new 115 kV transmission line being rebuilt between the existing PCA Interchange located approximately 15 miles northeast of Carlsbad and the new Quahada Interchange located approximately 30 miles northeast of Carlsbad.

 

The current transmission line was removed and replaced with the new line in existing right of way to increase reliability and alleviate overload conditions. An NTC from SPP was accepted on February, 2015.

 

The PCA Interchange-Quahada Interchange transmission line project was placed in-service on February 25, 2017. The estimated cost is $10 million.
