Ochiltree-Cole 115 kV Transmission Line Project

The Ochiltree-Cole 115 kV project consists of approximately 17 miles of transmission line in Ochiltree County, Texas and Beaver County, Oklahoma. The transmission line is being rebuilt between the Ochiltree Substation northwest of Perryton, Texas and the Cole Substation about 9 miles west of Balko, Oklahoma.

The project will help to improve reliability and increase load growth capacity in the area.

A Notice to Construct for the project was approved by the Southwest Power Pool in 2010.

Single pole steel structures ranging between 70 and 110 feet tall were used.

The Ochiltree-Cole 115 kV transmission line was energized November 19, 2015.
